Detail Construction Requirements For Trolley Contact Lines And Feeders – Class “T” Circuits

Clearances.
The
clearances to be observed in Class “T” construction are given in Section IV and
these rules apply except as follows:
(a) Where subways, tunnels or bridges require it, a less clearance of contact conductor above ground than that given in Section IV may be used locally, the trolley contact conductor being very gradually grade from the regular construction down to the reduced elevation (See Appendix E, Fig. 22.)
(b) The minimum distance at crossing between the end of the third rail of electric railroads and the nearest rail of other railroads or street railroads, shall be 8 feet.
