The following is a brief summary of the environmental monitoring activities that were completed between February 03, 1999 1:00 and 1:00 on February 04, 1999. Construction Highlights

02/03/99 (Wednesday)

Segment 1 (Emidio Pump Station to Copco Road): Report for 3 February 1999: The removal of rock and spoil from Grapevine Road continued. Surplus hydrotested pipe along Hwy 168 continued to be loaded onto trucks and hauled away for storage. Restoration and revegetation continued along Copco Road.

Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 2-3-99. Crews continued with minor electrical work within the Tosco refinery and began the bore for the Huntway segment. In addition, oil was filled from the Tosco refinery to the Lynwood station. Meanwhile, crews removed the forms from the Edison vault and began backfilling the receiving bore pit. At Lynwood station, crews coated pipe, painted and conducted a general clean up of the station site.
