Construction Highlights
02/04/99 (Thursday)Segment 1 (Emidio Pump Station to Copco Road): Report for 4 February 1999: One crew continues to clean-up Segment 1. Restoration/revegetation is progressing northward from Copco Road, along Quail Lake Road. A line fill crew is at Peace Valley Road tracking pigs in the line.
Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 2-4-99. Boring continued within the Tosco refinery while crews potholed for utilities at Lomita Blvd. The fiber optic pull box was placed and the bore pit backfilled at the Edison site near EMP 113.5. Meanwhile crews removed the scaffolds from Lynwood station while commission crews stood by during the line fill. In addition, oil was pumped from the El Segundo refinery up to the Lynwood station.
