Construction Highlights
02/16/99 (Tuesday)Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 2-16-99. Crews backfilled a section of the bore pit, trenched 60' then welded a section of pipe within the Wilmington refinery for the Huntway line. In addition, crews fabricated a section of pipe for the tie-in to the Huntway station. Further, crews worked on station electrical, painted and insulated pipe while general punch list items were inspected for the Wilmington refinery. Meanwhile, crews placed supports under the pipe then built forms for a concrete casing at the Edison station site. At Lynwood station, crews installed station interior and exterior lighting and progressed with the stations alarm system.
