Construction Highlights
02/19/99 (Friday)Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 2-19-99. Crews pulled the shoring boxes, lowered the vault top into place and continued backfilling the bore pit. Meanwhile crews progressed with coating and painting of above ground pipe within the Wilmington refinery. Crews working the Huntway segment lowered in a section of pipe, welded , x-rayed and coated south of Lomita St. In addition, during excavation of a bellhole crews uncovered an 8" Gatx jet fuel line.
