Construction Highlights
03/02/99 (Tuesday)Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach): Report for 3-2-99. Crews poured slurry across Alameda St and conducted a general clean up at the Edison station site. Vandals flipped over a water truck and damaged several other vehicles along the Huntway connection although crews were able to conduct work throughout the day. In addition, 60' of trench and backfill were completed today while welders fitted a tube turn onto a section of pipe. Further, a large spoil pile was moved to allow a clear path for traffic flow on Lomita Blvd. Finally, crews continued coating and painting of above ground pipe within the Wilmington refinery.
