Construction Highlights

03/05/99 (Friday)

Segment 5 (Lynwood to Long Beach) Report for 3/5/99: At the Huntway tie-in, another joint of pipe was laid and welded north of Linden Street. Crews have excavated almost up to the receiving pit, leaving only a plug to support the shoring box. Flaggers continue to control the truck traffic through the work zone. The use of both a project water truck and an business-owners water truck ensure that dust is kept to a minimum.
