Environmental Review

On October 22, 1997 the Commission adopted a final Mitigated Negative Declaration (dated October 21, 1997) as revised by the CPUC Energy Division in response to comments received, and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program. Click here to view the interim opinion, here to download.

September 25, 1997

The 30-day public comment period on the August 25, 1997 Mitigated Negative Declaration ended on September 25, 1997.

All comments received on the August 25, 1997 Mitigated Negative Declaration have been posted and are available here.

August 25, 1997

A proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study was prepared and circulated on August 25, 1997. With the adoption of the final Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study on October 22, 1997 by the Commission, the text of the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study (dated August 25, 1997) are available upon written request (see address on previous page).

July 31, 1997

On July 31, 1997, the Commission ruled that a Mitigated Negative Declaration be prepared. The Ruling in its entirety can be viewed or downloaded.

July 3, 1997

The 30-day public comment period on the Draft Initial Study ended on July 3, 1997.

All comments received on the Draft Initial Study have been posted and are available upon written request (see address on previous page.)

June 1997

Workshops to review and receive comments on the Draft Initial Study were held in Monterey on June 13, 1997 and in San Francisco on June 27, 1997. A summary of the June 13, 1997 workshop can be viewed or downloaded. A summary of the meeting held on June 27, 1997 can also be viewed or downloaded. A number of questions were posed to PG&E at the June 27th meeting and were unanswered due to time constraints. PG&E has subsequently answered these questions, and they can be viewed or downloaded.

June 3, 1997

A Draft Initial Study was prepared and circulated on June 3, 1997. With the release of the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration on August 25, 1997, the DIS is no longer available on-line. Copies of the Draft Initial Study are available upon written request (see address on previous page).
