Detailed Construction Requirements For Supply Lines

(Class H, L and T Circuits)

52.7    Buck Arms.

A.    One Voltage Classification.

In Systems where circuits of one voltage classification only are carried on same line crossarms, related buck arms (see Rule 20.8-B) may be attached to the pole at a distance to afford the conductor clearance of Table 2, Case 14.  The clearance of Case 8 to 13, inclusive, shall apply between the conductors on such line or buck arms and the conductors on the line or buck arms at the next conductor level above or below.

B.    Combination.

In systems where circuits of 0-750 volts and 750-7500 volts are carried on same line crossarms, related buck arms may be attached to the pole at a minimum 2 foot vertical separation, provided the conductors of these 2 voltages classifications are installed on opposite ends of the crossarm with a minimum horizontal separation of 42 inches.  This 2 foot clearance shall apply between the conductors on such line or buck arms and the conductors on the line or buck arms at the next conductor level above or below.
