86.5    Fastenings.

Guy wires where attached to anchor rods shall be protected by the use of guy thimbles or their equivalent.  Cedar and other soft-wood poles to which any guy having an ultimate strength of 5000 pounds or more is attached, shall be protected by suitable guy shim, and where necessary, with hooks lag bolts or other equivalent means to prevent the guy from slipping along the pole.
