The required strength of overhead line structures and subcomponents made with fiber-reinforced polymer shall be derived in conjunction with the safety factors in Rule 44 and other permitted stresses specified in the applicable standard. The compressive strength of the material shall be determined by suitable formula for the material or structure, considering the strength of the material, modulus of elasticity, geometry, slenderness ratio and eccentricity of connection.
