RE: Variance Request #81 - Relocation of the project pipeline from the Alameda Corridor right-of-way to West Alameda Street, between Zoe Avenue (north of Florence) and just south of Southern Avenue (or 92nd Street) (a distance of approximately 9,726 feet), Segment 4.
Dear Mr. Shauers:
We have reviewed the above-referenced variance request and approve your request, based on the following factor:
"Alameda Corridor Project. During the past few years, the Applicant has worked with the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority to develop detailed plans for proposed pipeline to coexist with the Alameda Corridor Project (ACP), particularly the depressed trainway portion north of the 91 Freeway to the northern border of the City of Vernon. The final alignment along sections of Alameda between downtown and the destination refineries continues to be refined by PPSI. However, the entire Alameda Street corridor was studied in the previous FEIR, and the ongoing detailed route refinement process will not affect determination of impact significance stated in that document."
- All applicable mitigation measures for the project shall be implemented at the subject location.
- Implementation of this variance in accordance with the provisions noted above shall be verified on a random basis by a CPUC/ANF Environmental Monitor.
Sincerely,
