Metromedia Fiber Optic Cable Network in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Los Angeles Basin

Welcome to the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) web site for the Metromedia fiber optic cable network for the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles Basin.  The CPUC is reviewing an application from Metromedia Fiber Network Services, Inc. (Metromedia) for approval to develop a 113-mile-long network in the San Francisco Bay Area and a 193-mile-long network in the Los Angeles Basin. 

The CPUC, through its Environmental Review Team, is also conducting an environmental review of the project.  Application Numbers: 00-02-039
