The 'Do Your Thing for the Sun' campaign seeks to engage with people, businesses, organizations and governments across California to take one action during the solar eclipse on August 21 to reduce electricity usage. This will allow California to burn fewer fossil fuels and emit fewer GHG emissions when California's solar energy production dips during the eclipse. The 'Do Your Thing for the Sun' campaign is an effort to engage Californians and demonstrate that when we come together to do one small thing to reduce energy usage, we can have a major impact on our environment.
